In the sixties, New York was an 18 year old drinking state, which meant I was sneaking into bars when I was 16, and I was not the exception. I was going with a great girl at the time, I learned a lot from her; we learned a lot together, about life, love, music and ourselves.
i never see any bars on lower west side or any of what i want to see never have on this site..i hate tryin to look it up and it brings me to this page and u never have it on here smh been looking for 165 10th house in the late 70's and also nick lounge on 7th street in the late 70's but nothing oh well ill keep looking .... Does anyone remember the name of the bar that was in front of the boardwalk Café on Delaware near great arrow? He used to get poppers in there--and chile rellano that he still craves!
This is a fabulous site and I'd be very grateful to anyone that could help me remember! Can anyone tell me the name of a wrestler who lived in Tonawanda NY in the 1960s?
He lived on Lynbrook Ave or Parker Blvd and he used to shower in his back yard in the nude.
I was a young kid at the time and used to see him out there.
Can't for the life of me remember his name or his nickname.
Spent a good part of the early '70s listening to Chapelwood at the Yellow Monkey..a little dancing and a whole lot of drinking.
Also remember the Pheasant on Delaware and a place on River Road called, I think, the Wa-Ha-Kei and a guy named Tony.
Can anyone help me with the name of the bar/nightclub on Seneca Street near Zittel in the early 80's.
It was quite large inside, and there was usually a band.
